Live-in student leaders who serve as a resource for the residents in a given area, floor, or residence hall. RAs build community, connect residents to the campus community through programs, and provide on-call/crisis response after hours with the assistance of CDs and UAPD. Live-in graduate students that select, supervise, and develop RAs, serve as conduct hearing officers and meet students with alleged violations, and provide after hour on-call and crisis response. CDs must work at least 15 hours per week during business hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday) with the ability to work an additional 5 hours per week outside business hours. Preference is given to those in the Higher Education Administration program, but all majors are welcome. CDs are paid and receive free housing and must maintain a 3.0 GPA, taking no more than 9 hours per semester.
The Academic Year 2025-26 CD position application will open in late January 2025.
Hourly paid position that staff the 24-hour area desks. Duties include customer service, communicating between residents and staff, answering phones professionally, and providing information to customers. They refer students and parents to available resources, monitor building traffic, assist with ensuring security and safety, and provide support to the community’s staff and Front Desk Manager. DAs must maintain a 2.0 GPA.
The Summer Operations Manager serves an integral role in guest relations, customer service, summer operations, facilities management, and administrative tasks for groups of attendees, new freshman orientation, and summer school. Serves as a representative of The University of Alabama for thousands of students. The Operations Manager must be available to work from 5/5/25-7/31/25 and cannot be enrolled in summer classes. The Operations Manager will be paid $1,000 monthly with campus housing provided.
