While residence halls will close for winter break at 10 a.m. CST on Saturday, December 16, 2017, students do not need to remove all of their belongings if they will be returning to UA for spring semester.
All residence halls close at 10 a.m. CST on Saturday, May 5, 2018, for undergraduates and at 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 5 for graduating seniors.
You must check out within 24 hours of your last exam. Graduating seniors and members of approved groups may stay beyond 24 hours after their last exam, but must still be checked out in time for the closing of residence halls on Saturday, May 5. If you need a personal extension, submit your request in writing to your Community Director prior to noon on Friday, April 27.
You must check out with an RA! Both you and your RA will go through your completely empty room, noting any problems and discrepancies between the opening condition of your room and the check-out condition. You will both sign the Room Condition Report and you will give your keys directly to the RA.
NOTE: If you do not check out properly with your RA you may be charged fees that could have been avoided. Your RA does not assess damage charges, so you will be contacted after you leave, if necessary.
Your RA will post available times for check out appointments. Please sign up for an appointment at least 24 hours in advance of your projected departure. If you can’t check out during any of these times, please check with other staff in the building or your community’s front desk.
To avoid charges you must:
Things to Remember:
Please review the list of damage charges that may be applied to your student account if your room has been damaged or furniture is damaged or missing.
